Brrr.... It's cold inside!

Yes, when you have bad insulating in your APT you definately have to bundle up on the couch, even when the thermostat says 70. Only good thing is that I have ice-cold pop whenever I need it! hehe

Right now, the tail-end of an ice storm is hitting us and all I can think is I hope that I will be able to open my doors tomorrow. With about a quarter of an inch of ice on the car, it makes me happy I don't work until 1.

Work is going better than ever, even if all i do is work, sleep and repeat. I don't need to cook because my "moms" at work keep me well fed since they know i'm not that great of a cook. Only problem is that I've gained my weight back from all the good food! And with the Christmas season almost done, I might be able to go back on the normal schedule.

This Sunday a bunch of us from work are going to the Toledo Zoo to go see the lights that they have on display. I guess they are amazing. So, we are having food at 3, then lights about 5/6ish. Very excited to be able to go out and do something else besides work. Plus, other things are going well, just need to wait for them to pan out.

Lions dissappointed me today. 18 seconds! Come on!

Rearranged the APT. Kinda was getting bored of the old way. Can't do too much though, with it being the size it is.

I think the new neighbors upstairs have DDR or something cuz I always hear music and there is a lot of stomping. Makes me feel old. All I wanna do is take the broom to the ceiling! Argh...

Now its off to watch Disturbia. Good times!

Things are looking up...

• Got confirmation.... now we will see what happens.
• Mom and Dad are coming to visit this weekend to spend time and bring my Christmas tree. So excited to put it up.
• It officially snowed, which means the people of the great state of Ohio don't know how the hell to drive. I mean, seriously, 15 in a 50 just cuz there is a little water on the road?! Come on people!
• October Road is back on the air... Yahoo!
• Still happy I moved here. More now than ever. I don't think that will ever change.
• Enough with the lists... off to bed!

The wonders of Black Friday weekend extravaganza!

I don't think that I ever worked and hoped that it would end but never end at the same time. The 14 hr shifts, having t0 pretty much stand up at the front cold from the doors, and dealing with a few choice customers, associates and shoplifters kinda sucks. But for the most part, all of the customers were really happy and well-behaved. We didn't have a lot of complaints and the ones that did were just trying to cheat the company. Gotta love the holidays! I think the best time started today about 6 when you could tell we were all tired and wanting this weekend to end. I think the last 3 hours were the best time I have had with all of us together. I don't think that will ever happen again. I think that the best part was Michael trying to talk gangster so he "could sound hip" and then 4 black guys walk around the corner. Can we say AWKWARD?! hehe... Makes me even more glad I moved down here.

Everything else is great! Life, work, family... its all wonderful. I mean, there are always a few hiccups, but is all worth it in the long run!

I wish I could describe this day in one word...

Today was my first day "flying solo" as they call it. I had my first official close as a manager without anyone else there. Really, after a few hiccups, it wasn't too bad. Definately not as bad as I thought it would be, except for the fact that I T kept calling and asking me questions and when I tell them I don't know, call back tomorrow... don't keep asking me questions!

Other things are going well... but don't want to jinx it. We will see what happens.
This weekend going up to the cabin and spending time with mom and dad. Real excited, especially since I'll be hittin the casino saturday night, which I haven't done since a few days after my surgery.

As of right now... besides this weekend, won't be home til Christmas. Have lots on the plate the next two months, including Black Friday (Yahoo!!... yeah right!) and lots of plans with the co-workers... hehe... pictures should come with those fun trips!

Besides that, not much is new. Had a great time spending time with SA, JR, Brandon and Andrew this past time weekend, with special appearances from Nathan and Dad Bornemann. Definately worth the laundry. I sometimes forget why I love talking to Brandon and Andrew.. until we sit at my parent's house for 5 hours and laugh our asses off!

Now its off to bed... tomorrow's truck day and I gotta lotta stuff to do tomorrow before Friday comes. Yeah, definatly should have cleaned up the house a little bit instead of playing video games. (But Mom, I was on Level 5 of TMNT Tournament Fighter! I can't stop now!! hehe) Have a good one!

I can't believe it happened!

So, this week started off bad... but it will definately end up great..

I've had the stomach flu since Monday. Yeah, today was the first day that I actually been able to eat something that wasn't toast and jelly. That was a relief!

It actually happened! Yesterday, I got the keys to the store and as of Monday, I will be the new Assistant Manager! It's about damn time... hehe. It weird.. I kinda have been doing the job for the past year, its just that I now have the title! Yahoo!!!!

And with this weekend being Jake's baptism, I get to spend time with the family and I get to spoil the hell out of my niece and nephew. Boy, I love it!

Ok, now its off to some more tv, searching for health insurance, and then to bed. Night!

Almost connected to the Real World...

So, thanks to my brother, I almos have good internet. Now, I get to connect through my cell phone at slow speed, but better than nothing.

Not much has happened. Work is going great. I may have to start traveling Ohio for work starting in a week. I will find out more at the end of the week. Really excited about it if it really happens. Gives me something else to do besides work, go home, and shop.

Next weekend I will be back up home to spend time with the family. Jake gets baptized on Sunday and I am so excited to be his sponser, or godmother.

The Adventures of The Oak

So, the three hour trip is worth watching the Groulx Guys painting the shed. Yes... quite comical. Actually... whenever the guys get together, its quite comical.

Actually... the trip up here has been great. Love spending time with the fam and seeing how big Jake has gotten. I swear he looks like I did when I was his age. And Kate is talking so well... the shit that comes out of her mouth is amazing!

Excited for the midland thing tomorrow and spending time with the friends.

Not much more to say right now. Still don't have internet, so don't expect lots of updates. Probably every two weeks.
