Brrr.... It's cold inside!

Yes, when you have bad insulating in your APT you definately have to bundle up on the couch, even when the thermostat says 70. Only good thing is that I have ice-cold pop whenever I need it! hehe

Right now, the tail-end of an ice storm is hitting us and all I can think is I hope that I will be able to open my doors tomorrow. With about a quarter of an inch of ice on the car, it makes me happy I don't work until 1.

Work is going better than ever, even if all i do is work, sleep and repeat. I don't need to cook because my "moms" at work keep me well fed since they know i'm not that great of a cook. Only problem is that I've gained my weight back from all the good food! And with the Christmas season almost done, I might be able to go back on the normal schedule.

This Sunday a bunch of us from work are going to the Toledo Zoo to go see the lights that they have on display. I guess they are amazing. So, we are having food at 3, then lights about 5/6ish. Very excited to be able to go out and do something else besides work. Plus, other things are going well, just need to wait for them to pan out.

Lions dissappointed me today. 18 seconds! Come on!

Rearranged the APT. Kinda was getting bored of the old way. Can't do too much though, with it being the size it is.

I think the new neighbors upstairs have DDR or something cuz I always hear music and there is a lot of stomping. Makes me feel old. All I wanna do is take the broom to the ceiling! Argh...

Now its off to watch Disturbia. Good times!

Things are looking up...

• Got confirmation.... now we will see what happens.
• Mom and Dad are coming to visit this weekend to spend time and bring my Christmas tree. So excited to put it up.
• It officially snowed, which means the people of the great state of Ohio don't know how the hell to drive. I mean, seriously, 15 in a 50 just cuz there is a little water on the road?! Come on people!
• October Road is back on the air... Yahoo!
• Still happy I moved here. More now than ever. I don't think that will ever change.
• Enough with the lists... off to bed!

The wonders of Black Friday weekend extravaganza!

I don't think that I ever worked and hoped that it would end but never end at the same time. The 14 hr shifts, having t0 pretty much stand up at the front cold from the doors, and dealing with a few choice customers, associates and shoplifters kinda sucks. But for the most part, all of the customers were really happy and well-behaved. We didn't have a lot of complaints and the ones that did were just trying to cheat the company. Gotta love the holidays! I think the best time started today about 6 when you could tell we were all tired and wanting this weekend to end. I think the last 3 hours were the best time I have had with all of us together. I don't think that will ever happen again. I think that the best part was Michael trying to talk gangster so he "could sound hip" and then 4 black guys walk around the corner. Can we say AWKWARD?! hehe... Makes me even more glad I moved down here.

Everything else is great! Life, work, family... its all wonderful. I mean, there are always a few hiccups, but is all worth it in the long run!

I wish I could describe this day in one word...

Today was my first day "flying solo" as they call it. I had my first official close as a manager without anyone else there. Really, after a few hiccups, it wasn't too bad. Definately not as bad as I thought it would be, except for the fact that I T kept calling and asking me questions and when I tell them I don't know, call back tomorrow... don't keep asking me questions!

Other things are going well... but don't want to jinx it. We will see what happens.
This weekend going up to the cabin and spending time with mom and dad. Real excited, especially since I'll be hittin the casino saturday night, which I haven't done since a few days after my surgery.

As of right now... besides this weekend, won't be home til Christmas. Have lots on the plate the next two months, including Black Friday (Yahoo!!... yeah right!) and lots of plans with the co-workers... hehe... pictures should come with those fun trips!

Besides that, not much is new. Had a great time spending time with SA, JR, Brandon and Andrew this past time weekend, with special appearances from Nathan and Dad Bornemann. Definately worth the laundry. I sometimes forget why I love talking to Brandon and Andrew.. until we sit at my parent's house for 5 hours and laugh our asses off!

Now its off to bed... tomorrow's truck day and I gotta lotta stuff to do tomorrow before Friday comes. Yeah, definatly should have cleaned up the house a little bit instead of playing video games. (But Mom, I was on Level 5 of TMNT Tournament Fighter! I can't stop now!! hehe) Have a good one!

I can't believe it happened!

So, this week started off bad... but it will definately end up great..

I've had the stomach flu since Monday. Yeah, today was the first day that I actually been able to eat something that wasn't toast and jelly. That was a relief!

It actually happened! Yesterday, I got the keys to the store and as of Monday, I will be the new Assistant Manager! It's about damn time... hehe. It weird.. I kinda have been doing the job for the past year, its just that I now have the title! Yahoo!!!!

And with this weekend being Jake's baptism, I get to spend time with the family and I get to spoil the hell out of my niece and nephew. Boy, I love it!

Ok, now its off to some more tv, searching for health insurance, and then to bed. Night!

Almost connected to the Real World...

So, thanks to my brother, I almos have good internet. Now, I get to connect through my cell phone at slow speed, but better than nothing.

Not much has happened. Work is going great. I may have to start traveling Ohio for work starting in a week. I will find out more at the end of the week. Really excited about it if it really happens. Gives me something else to do besides work, go home, and shop.

Next weekend I will be back up home to spend time with the family. Jake gets baptized on Sunday and I am so excited to be his sponser, or godmother.

The Adventures of The Oak

So, the three hour trip is worth watching the Groulx Guys painting the shed. Yes... quite comical. Actually... whenever the guys get together, its quite comical.

Actually... the trip up here has been great. Love spending time with the fam and seeing how big Jake has gotten. I swear he looks like I did when I was his age. And Kate is talking so well... the shit that comes out of her mouth is amazing!

Excited for the midland thing tomorrow and spending time with the friends.

Not much more to say right now. Still don't have internet, so don't expect lots of updates. Probably every two weeks.

One month later

I guess I have learned a lot in the past month. I am stronger than I was a year ago, I can handle things a lot better, and I am up for pretty much anything within reason.

What it all boils down to is that I am not 17 anymore, so please don't treat me that way. I am 23 and an adult. Please don't try and spare me and think that I am going to spaz out anytime something happens.

Maybe it's a blessing in disguise that I am 400 miles away.

A long time coming...

So... now that someone moved their router, I cannot get internet in my APT, so I am again sitting in the hotel parking lot with 10 minutes of battery left and lots to do. So, quickly...

Life is great. Kris asked if I would be Jake's godmother. I teared a little. So it will be nice to be both my niece and nephew's godmother. Makes me proud.

Kate's in preschool. Yeah, weird. She isn't that old yet to be in it. Or at least it doesn't seem like she should be.

Looking about getting a new car soon. Now that I am officially a Ohio resident, gotta get the plates changed. Hopefully can get my plate name again. Will tear up if I can't.

Mioh died. Yeah, can't keep fish. Never doing that again. I tried.

Work is great. Things are looking up for the department and for progressing. More to come on that later.

Dad had to have surgery on his spine. Not happy about that, but it will work out in the end. When, I don't know. Hopefully asap because he is in a lot of pain.

Dawson's Creek is done. I am now into the Grey's Anatomy seasons. Gotta catch up again and refresh before the new season starts! hehe... Then I was told I must watch The Wiz by Lynsey and Quintin at work. We will find out then.

Two weeks from tomorrow is Genesis! Very excited!

Ok, now the battery is almost fried and I might be late for work. TTYL!!

A New Beginning....

So, Adam had a good idea... I should start writing in my blog again. So, here I am, with my laptop on a TV tray underneath my living room window so I can get internet reception from someone else's wireless connection, I am writing out to all.

Work is great... pretty much love every bit of it. Once I get the apartment all unpacked, I will be happier. I hate the boxes everywhere but just don't know where in the hell to put all of my stuff.

I have a new addition to the apartment. His/Her (don't know the sex) name is Mioh. Here is a picture of it....

It's my moving from MI to OH buddy. Get the name! hehe... I don't remember the type... I think its a medium fantail or something like that. All I know is that it was the cutest one int he tank! hehe... The question is going to be how long he is actually going to live. We will find out. Well... its off to more Dawson's Creek ( now in season 4 disk 4) and I am going to try and find a movie theater around here that is showing Hairspray so I can finally go see it. Have a great one.

A lot of stuff has been going on lately so short versions will be given (yes, I know what you are thinking... I will really be doing it hehe)

Work going well...

Car sucks. Had to take into shop. Got fixed. New one hopefully in a couple of months.

Dad is doing well. Is off the walker and now on a cane. Ya him!

Love the APT! Things going well here. Will have a get-together soon.

Getting contacts in the next week or two. Going to be weird but step one of transition....

Chuckie Cheese's is awesome! Went there today with Aunt Laura, Momma Ingrid, Jennifer, Tyler, Logan, Nickolas, and Lacey. Jenwas lame and wouldn't get her picture taken with Chuckie. Poop on her! hehe

Adam is home. Ya! Ballooned and TP'd the APT. Pictures and video of the "Twister" and APT coming soon.

TMNT tomorrow. SO EXCITED!

Realization....

Looking back on the past few months, I have noticed a lot of changes in my life. Things that I never thought would happen actually happened. Things that I thought would happen never did. It makes me wonder how in the hell life works. I have always believed that things happen for a reason. What makes me wonder is why? Why do things pan out the way they do? Why am I put in circumstances that lead me back to a familiar place, yet not wanting to relive it again? I guess it is just the paranoia coming out of me or the wanting to make things right. I have learned a lot about different areas on my life. Friends, family, people in general, work, health. Or I guess I should just say all of the above. I guess I just feel like I am always being tested and no matter what I do or say its the wrong thing. Hopefully one of these days it will be the right thing.

Gotta Love the weather!

So... I don't know if anyone else had a wonderful experience with the weather today, but I know I did. After much debate on whether or not making the trek to Grammie's house to do laundry, I decided to. What does it get me into? I hit a van!! Yes, trying to stop at an intersection, I hit a van. Best part: it was right infront of a cop. Now.. after we assessed the situation, there was no damage to my car, the van, or the people in the van. The cop wanted to write up a ticket, but the 2 guys in the van ( who were not too shabby looking either) talked the cop out of giving me one. The only regret I had was not exchanging information with them for just in case reasons! hehehehe.
I hope everyone else's day was less eventfull than mine. Safe trips to all!

Here I am!

OK.... So I have crossed over to the dark side. Hopefully I will post a hell of a lot more here than I do at the other one. I guess only time will tell.

The APT is going great. We are never really home together, which is weird. We barely see each other, and we all work together too. I thought that it would be a little difficult, but its really not half bad. Speaking of work, things are going great! Can't complain right now.

So, to all who came out to the APT last night, thanks. I had a blast and hope that you did too. And if you weren't there last night, you missed out on a hell of a lot. Except for the super long game of Uno... damn, it would never end!

Well... the oscars are on and I definately will be laughing at Ellen's jokes for days to come. So, until next time.....
